3RD INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON PROGRESS IN DIGITAL AND PHYSICAL MANUFACTURING (ProDPM'25)

DONE Lab took part in the 3rd International Conference on Progress in Digital and Physical Manufacturing (ProDPM'25), organized by the School of Technology and Management at the Polytechnic of Leiria.

At the event, the team — Cátia Silva, José Carlos Almeida, and António Pontes — presented the lab’s research in additive manufacturing, material development, simulation tools, and design innovation.

Here is a summary of the presentations shared:
• Evaluation of the potential of additive manufacturing technologies and materials for optical protective window prototypes in sensor development and testing.
• Structural analysis of mould inserts with cellular structures, exploring interoperability between Ansys and nTopology for simulations of complex geometries.
• Design and additive manufacturing of a bicycle helmet with lattice structures, focusing on impact resistance, design versatility, and sustainability.

DONE Lab remained open to new ideas, collaborations, and partnerships with researchers, academics, and industry experts worldwide, as it continued to advance science and technology through research and innovation.
