ART AND TECHNOLOGY: INFINITE CREATIVE POSSIBILITIES
Artist Cristina Massena, in collaboration with DONE Lab, has brought her visionary project Artificial Landscapes to life.
Artificial Landscapes explores the intersection of painting and 3D printing on paper, aiming to question how 3D printing technology affects the materiality and experience of art. The project began with black acrylic paint on paper and evolved into a series of 20 3D-printed drawings (produced using Material Jetting technology) on 300g A3 paper.
The project’s success led to Massena being named a finalist for the Norberto Fernandes Prize, a prestigious award aimed at promoting Contemporary Art by showcasing innovative projects in the categories of Art and Technology, as well as Young Artists.
By merging technological innovation with artistic expression, it is possible to expand the horizons of creativity, thereby creating new forms of interaction, interpretation, and audience engagement, and offering unprecedented possibilities for exploration.
