DONE LAB ON THE PORTUGAL-SINGAPORE RESEARCH WEEK
As part of DONE Lab’s strategy to advance international collaboration in Additive Manufacturing, promote collaborative innovation, and explore new opportunities for industrial and scientific cooperation, Antonio Pontes, Alvaro M. Sampaio recently joined the Portuguese delegation visiting Singapore for the Portugal-Singapore Research Week, hosted by Nanyang Technological University Singapore (NTU) and the Singapore Centre for 3D Printing (SC3DP).
This mission included industrial visits to leading companies in advanced manufacturing, such as Fu Yu Corporation, Meiban, ST Engineering Aerospace, and Makino. During the visit, the Director of DONE Lab Antonio Pontes delivered a presentation showcasing our lab’s R&D activities, with a special focus on our involvement in the INOV.AM - Inovação em Fabricação Aditiva project, where DONE Lab plays an active role.
The seminar at SC3DP was attended by the Portuguese Ambassador to Singapore, NAMIC Singapore, and key industrial partners including Cetim - Matcor Technology & Services Pte Ltd, Panasonic, Makino Additive Manufacturing, and Leistritz AG.
This mission marks another important step in connecting Portuguese research and innovation with global ecosystems, opening new doors for joint research, industrial collaboration, and scientific exchange.
We extend our sincere thanks to Prof. Paulo Bartolo for leading this initiative, to the Portuguese Embassy in Singapore for their continuous support, and to all institutions that contributed to the success of this mission.
The Portuguese delegation included representatives from: Universidade do Porto, Universidade do Minho, Universidade de Coimbra, Universidade de Lisboa, CENTIMFE - Centro Tecnológico da Indústria de Moldes, Ferramentas Especiais e Plásticos, and other key organisations within Portugal’s advanced manufacturing ecosystem.
