DONE LAB SUPPORTS S-ENERGY TEAM

DONE Lab is proud to have supported the S-Energy team by producing key components for their miniature F1 car using SLS (Selective Laser Sintering) technology, as part of the global STEM Racing competition – a multidisciplinary challenge that integrates technology, engineering, entrepreneurship, and innovation.

Competing against 19 teams at the Portuguese National Final, S-Energy, a team of six students from AE Padre Benjamim Salgado and Instituto Nun'Alvres, won the 1st place, earning their spot at the World Finals in Singapore (Sept 27 – Oct 2), where they’ll proudly represent Portugal.
They also took home awards for Best Verbal Presentation and Fastest Car, and set a new world record thanks to their team driver’s incredible reaction time of just 0.003 seconds!

According to the team mentors Professor Carla Gomes and Isabel Almeida, DONE Lab support was essential, allowing the test of materials and parts, and optimize performance using additive manufacturing techniques.
