EXPLORING NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR COLLABORATION IN AM
We recently had the opportunity to be part of a mission led by the Engineering School of University of Minho, where we visited several innovative organizations and explore new opportunities for collaboration in additive manufacturing and sustainable composites.
Among our key stops was Think East Netherlands, an organization investing in innovations in the fields of safe and sustainable food, healthcare, digitalization, clean energy, and the circular economy; and Hogeschool Saxion in Enschede, where we had the privilege of engaging with the TPAC Research Group (TPAC – the ThermoPlastic Composites Application Center).
We also visited the Fraunhofer Innovation Platform for Advanced Manufacturing at the University of Twente, an innovation centre committed to the advancement of the manufacturing industry for the enrichment of our society; and the GKN Fokker Aerospace, a leader in aerospace structures, pioneering the use of composite materials to replace metal parts and create innovative aero-structures using thermosets and thermoplastics.
During this visit, we had the opportunity to share experiences from DONE Lab's work, including our ongoing innovation project in additive manufacturing (INOV.AM).
A big thank you to everyone for the warm welcome, and we are looking forward to future innovative collaborations in these fields.
