INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON INNOVATION IN POLYMER APPLICATIONS (IPA25)

At the International Symposium on Innovation in Polymer Applications (IPA25) our Lab Director, Antonio Pontes, took the stage to share DONE Lab journey into hybrid moulding technologies.

In his keynote, titled “Hybrid Moulds: Combination of Materials and Technologies for Small and Medium Series of Production,” he explored how innovation in materials and tooling strategies is driving new levels of production flexibility, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

The presentation included a brief introduction to Additive Manufacturing (AM) technologies, an overview of the lab’s services, manufacturing technologies and participation in multiple collaborations in several R&D&I projects with different industries; and a case study developed as part of INOV.AM agenda WP2 – Hybrid Moulds for Polymeric Products.

Amongst the variety of available AM technologies, DONE Lab provides solutions based in both polymeric and metallic AM technologies for the rapid production of hybrid moulds.
