UMINHO RESEARCH AND INNOVATION OPEN DAYS

DONE Lab marked its presence at the 2nd edition of the UMinho Research & Innovation Open Days, an event that showcased leading research and innovation at the University of Minho while strengthening dialogue between academia, industry, and society.

Our Lab Director, António Pontes, contributed to the round table “Digital Transformation and Collaborative Innovation: Connecting Academia and Industry”, joining representatives from COTEC, ANI, Moldit, Movecho, and ESI Robotics to discuss how collaboration could accelerate innovation and real-world impact.

Continuing this representation, our researcher Lídia Lemos brought DONE Lab’s scientific work to the stage through the Graduate & Postdoctoral Research Flash Talks, where she presented her research project “Design and Development of Ergonomic Hybrid-Cut Tools to Prevent Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders”. This contribution reinforced how our research combined design, ergonomics, and advanced manufacturing to address real-world challenges.

We were proud to see DONE Lab actively engaged in initiatives that bridged science, technology, and industry, demonstrating our commitment to driving innovation and strengthening collaboration between academia and industry.
