X JORNADAS DE MATERIAIS
DONE Lab, represented by Cátia Silva, presented our research project, “Development of a Blood Cartridge for Clinical Diagnosis,” at the X Jornadas de Materiais, hosted by NEEMAT (Materials Engineering Students’ Association of the University of Minho).
This ongoing case study at DONE Lab focuses on a microfluidic system for collecting blood samples for clinical diagnostics. The goal is to develop a disposable microfluidic cartridge capable of quantifying analytes in biological fluids using minimal sample volumes. This project is being developed under the Health Portugal agenda, a collaboration between DONE Lab and Labinlight.
It was a great opportunity to share our research, highlight examples of materials research and development applied to real products, and showcase how materials engineering drives innovation.
