INOV.AM - Innovation in Additive Manufacturing
The INOV.AM project was defined based on an emergent need to stimulate and innovate, both scientifically and technologically, the Portuguese industry, in order to revolutionize and highlight Portugal’s potential and competitiveness in the international market. In this context, INOV.AM aims to further develop and disseminate knowledge, technologies, and materials for additive manufacturing (AM) with the perspective of interconnecting AM unique characteristics and possibilities with traditional production technologies, in order to improve process efficiency and flexibility, enabling the creation of high-quality and customized value-added products.
This innovation mobilization program in Additive Manufacturing involves companies from various sectors and a set of entities from the national scientific system. The program aims at development in various intervention areas, including new materials, advanced additive manufacturing processes, advanced post-production processes, advanced automation and control software, new products, and training and capacity building of human resources.
INOV.AM is financed by the Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation – IAPMEI, I.P., under the Framework Programme: Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) and Operational Programme: C5. Capitalisation and Business Innovation, referring to Mobilising Agendas for Reindustrialisation.
